LOCKDOWN 2

England is about to go back into lockdown again on Thursday. Last time I worked many extra hours, covering for vulnerable colleagues who were staying safe at home. This time I'm currently isolating after contact with someone that has the virus (get well soon) and waiting for the phone call that tells me what will be happening when I'm free(ish) again.

I've had very little time for photography this year, due to work, home schooling and general restrictions. Optimistically, I treated myself to new (to me) lens earlier this month, hoping to get out last week for some autumn colour trips. I am consoling myself that the weather was so awful, the leaves must be long gone anyway.

Hopefully, once my isolation ends, I'll get out and about. Photography is my happy place and is the only way I can quieten my overthinking mind. When I'm out with me camera, my mind is totally absorbed with colour, form and light. I'm sure the fresh air and walking does me no harm either. (I'm also trying wet felting for those days that are too atrocious to venture out. Well, it is November after all, you've got to have a plan B).

How do you clear your head in these crazy times?
